Our diagnostic process will utilize interviews with caregivers and teachers, office based assessments, review of medical, psychological and education records and if needed observations at school. Once the individual is properly diagnosed, we strive to insure that the family understands the diagnosis and treatment plan. If a diagnosis is not evident, we focus on the needs of the individual and family. Our treatment plan involves identifying optimum resources, schools, therapies, prescribing medications if needed and other interventions necessary for a successful outcome. We encourage consistent follow-up to monitor progress and to maintain the best possible results.
If an individual recently completed a comprehensive evaluation, we will focus on maintaining effective treatment and follow-up. Occasionally, re-evaluation may be indicated. We encourage young adults into our practice and tailor our approach to the unique needs of the individual. We are committed to privacy, independence and self-reliance.
Dr. Pionk does not replace your primary care pediatrician or physician. We encourage a multi-disciplinary approach and involve other specialists as needed. Dr. Pionk is dedicated to providing high quality care in a supportive and compassionate environment.
